St. Louis Communities

South/West St. Louis County Real Estate and Living

The residential communities located southwest of the city limits provide some of St. Louis' finest traditional architecture.

Webster Groves Real Estate

This delightful community is characterized by many large, turn-of-century homes set back form the street on wide lawns dotted with some of the thousands of oak, maple and elm trees for which Webster Groves is noted. Interspersed among Webster's Victorian mansions are homes representing alternate architectural styles constructed over the last 90 years. The wide streets, arching trees, gracious homes, parks, and community recreational center combine with the area's cultural and historic heritage to make Webster Groves the perfect setting for families looking for a "New England" ambience. The community is located conveniently close to Interstate 44.

Kirkwood/Glendale/Warson Woods Real Estate

The historic train station, the long established downtown area and tree-filled neighborhoods capture the essence of Kirkwood.

For decades, traditionally constructed homes on large, wooded lots have been the norm in Kirkwood. More than 300 acres of parkland plus local attractions like The Magic House make the area appealing to families with children of all ages.

To the east and northeast of Kirkwood respectively are Glendale and Warson Woods. These two communities are characterized by charming two and three bedroom homes that range from those built at the turn of the century to those with a more modern appearance.

Des Peres Real Estate

Although officially incorporated in 1934, the area now known as Des Peres was inhabited by German immigrants as early as the mid-1830's.

Today, some of the homes belonging to these early settlers remain as reminders of the historic heritage of Des Peres (population approximately 8,400). Often these homes are located among the many subdivisions of Des Peres which are known for their architectural quality.
